Michele - (CA / LMT)
My name is Michele, and I am glad to be a part of the Menner Chiropractic team. I have been a massage therapist for a little over five years and I absolutely love my job. I graduated from the massage program at Harper Community College.
Some of my favorite techniques to incorporate into my massage is deep tissue work and trigger points. I have always worked at a chiropractic office and I believe that massage, along with chiropractic care, is that most advantageous way to heal the body. One of my massage goals is to travel to Hawaii and learn Lomi Lomi, which is a traditional Hawaiian massage. Working out is also a huge part of my life; I have competed in martial arts, have participated in mud runs and have attended Crossfit.
Living a healthy lifestyle is very important to me and my family.
As for my family, we volunteer at many veteran functions and routinely visit the VA hospitals to spend time with the veterans. It is a very rewarding and humbling experience for me as some of these men and women have no families nearby or no families at all. We have also attended Honor Flights at Midway Airport, which is a huge welcoming home event for veterans of World War II, which my grandfather served in.
My 17-year old daughter is a senior in high school, where she is surrounded by positive influences. My goal is to be the best I can be, to be a positive role model for my daughter, to treat everyone I meet with respect and kindness, and to feel that I am making a difference.
