Dr. Alan Broering graduated from National University of Health Sciences in December of 2011 with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. Prior to that, he attended The Ohio State University and received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biological Sciences with a focus in Biochemistry in 2008.
He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Illinois Chiropractic Association. Alan became a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP®) specializing in sports injuries after passing the board examination in 2017.
Dr. Alan performs a large variety of chiropractic techniques including diversified, Thompson drop, flexion distraction, atlas orthogonal, activator, and extremity adjusting, and is well-versed in many soft tissue techniques and other modalities.
Dr. Alan performs sports rehabilitation with focus on functional rehabilitation and has completed parts A and B of the McKenzie Method.
Nutritional counseling and education is another area that Alan enjoys providing to patients. It is hard to have a healthy body on the outside if it is broken on the inside via the gut. Check out the Living Well Blog for more information on Alan’s gluten free and sugar free experience!
Alan spends his free time with family and friends, staying active by playing ultimate frisbee, running, and golfing when there’s time.
